yeah getting the folder pointed at the other folder is the simple part.

you gotta get a VPN, get on a good tracker, get good downloads, make sure shit is correctly labelled, and make sure you don't obliterate bandwidth.

mac mini isn't required, an old laptop with linux or a NUC or whatever could do the job. but that's also trivial.
