We’re heading into corporate budget season. Company after company is slashing their AI budget and the head cut wagons are circling around all the various “AI lab” teams that every company invested in two years ago with zero ROI to show for it. All while massive debt piles up to build data centers despite little evidence any of this is coming close to returning the ROI needed to justify any of it.
