As an aside, I've been seeing "extraction" used more instead of "descent" or "heritage" lately. Is there any reason you adopted that terminology?
No. English is my 2nd language, and even though I started really early and spent plenty of time in English speaking countries I still suffer from the curse of limited idiom. Feel free to correct me at any time. I think in this case it was in part because the people that I know that live here were refugees from the war (kids at the time).
