This is what I hope for, but every time I use ChapGPT and similar, I get results which take work to optimize, so it saves me little time, if any. I admit I don't use paid versions of the A.I. stuff, so perhaps this is the reason.
The paid versions aren't actually better than the free ones in that respect. They still make mistakes more often than a human would, and you still have to carefully review what they put out. The only way to get a speed boost from LLMs is to give up on the quality of your software and just YOLO.
I have found, that the best way to prevent bad output with AI is proper planning, and also extensive end to end tests. - If it is implementing a design, I have it compare the screenshot with the mockup and get 97% similarity. - If it is a functionality, I have it spin up a browser/tv/mobile and check the output is what i asked for.
I also use plannotator for planning, that is an amazing tool! need to buy them some coffees for sure.
