To "surveil" a law enforcement agency is usually described as journalism or public accountability in democracies.

The fourth amendment is supposed to force a high bar for collecting evidence in this way but we’ve been slowly eroding those rights away over the last 50 years.

What's wrong with surveilling LEO? If they have nothing to hide they have nothing to fear.
