Yes. I just had a markup of one floated to me by a New York member. This is what you do when you’re preparing to go back into power.
Then bypass them. Shop it internally among the party, and privately with defecting Rs who see which way the wind is blowing. Bring the results to the committee as a “show your work” moment for voters and draw a line in the sand.
