To be fair, he’s had a bunch of guest posts on his blog that didn’t seem as reasonable to me (and some people seemed to not realize they were guest posts).
Edit: lol, this article is itself a guest post. My bad for not reading it first! But it does serve as an excellent demonstration of my point, since it seems like neither of us realized we weren’t talking about his words.
yeah, Tao has been extremely reasonable throughout this, while the coverage has been... maybe 'motivated' is the right word?
