alt Hacker NewsI genuinely want to understand why people use Ubuntu, and especially for servers. I’m not trolling or whatever the proper word for it. It’s not sarcasm either. I must be missing something, I guess. What is the reason? Especially if you’re not paying for it. But if you’re paying for it, I’m still curious.

the best answer to this is... why not?
It was like that when I got here. The servers at my work were all Ubuntu, so that's what I keep using. And if the servers are Ubuntu, I'll use that on my machine too.
