The post wasn’t misleading, the usual horde of online clickbait it generated was misleading. That isn’t on the researchers. Their writeup was very detailed and informative. The problem is that there’s no room for nuanced discussion on any online forum. People seek out and amplify low quality drama and then complain about it.
