If you want to do something impactful, but don't have any good ideas: Take an existing website or application and build an optimized version of it. If you aren't sure where to start, build an isolated workflow out of an existing app or site you like, have the LLM benchmark it, then ask it to make it use 10x less ram / run 10x faster. Ask about what tools it can use to measure, what benchmarks it can come up with to repeatedly test it, how it can automate workflows in a measurable way. Then turn those into tools or specs you can share along with your work.
