alt Hacker Newsmost people don’t use the capacity of the pickup trucks on the road today. I’m not going to tell people what to drive, but I know personally a smaller pickup with occasional bed use and better efficiency and parking the rest of the time would be an easy sell.

I don't really see the point of them. They can't carry anything, because the back is exposed.

Even a minivan wins in most categories, but they don't have the towing or hauling capabilities that live in the imaginations of many men.

My '96 Toyota T100 is exactly that. I would never want to downgrade to a modern monster-pickup.
