12+ years of experience building iOS and macOS apps of all kinds. Dropped business school in 2014 when I got hired into a growing startup and moved to SF. Eventually cofounded and built an early crypto app and raised a small seed. Hired 3 people but legal issues sunk us after a year or two. Joined an international crypto exchange and rebuilt their iOS app from the ground up in Swift, hired a team around it (8 people) and managed it all as the iOS Tech Lead for 4+ years until mid-2023. Took a break after a decade of constant employment, been managing my personal funds and building nonstop on side projects and financial tools. Would be keen to switch gears again to join a good crew and contribute to something bigger.

Hello! I’m Mari. I’ve spent 10+ years hacking on side-projects and open source, and the last 3.5+ years building production back-ends in Rust, Go and Typescript.

My latest project is GitArena (https://github.com/mellowagain/gitarena), a self-hostable Git + issue-tracker written in async Rust (Actix-Web, Tokio, PostgreSQL, htmx). I also grew Fiberplane's Rust REST API and CLI, wrote an OpenAPI -> Rust codegen tool, and automated its Terraform infra.

Feel free to get in touch to learn more about me and my previous experiences.

Hi! I'm a computational neuroscientist pivoting fully out of the wet lab into data engineering. My background is in systems neuroscience, building MATLAB codebases to analyze and quantify preclinical biomarkers in animal models.

Recent project is a containerized biosignal pipeline to analyze human EEG data:

* Uses Prefect/Python for orchestration and ingesting

* DuckDB or Snowflake for storing cleaned raw data

* dbt for modeling sleep architecture, average band power, and other metrics

* Pandera for enforcing data contracts, rejecting corrupt signal data before warehouse loading

* CI with Pytest/GitHub Actions

I'm looking for a full-time position within data engineering. I'm particularly interested/strong in high-frequency time-series data analysis (e-phys, biosignals, energy grids, etc.). I'm a quick learner and am really eager to pick up additional stacks and technologies.

Location: EU

Remote: Yes, EU timezones preferred

Willing to relocate: Depends on the location (but with a strong bias for EU-Schengen/US locations)

Technologies: Java, Python (and variants thereof like Groovy, Clojure, Pypy), Node/TS | AWS/Lambda Serverless, GCE/Kubernetes | Redis, MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB

Resume: https://bit.ly/3B3o65M (It links to my CV repo at Github, pinky promise. You can also visit github.com/<hnusername>.)

I'm not actively looking (hence why my resume link is obfuscated like that) but I'm at least interested in getting a feel for the market right now. That said, I'm willing to consider a position with a great fit for my skill set and career goals.

Here's my pitch: I have experience in a multitude of industries and positions. From improving legacy infra and processes in an established telco company to scaling a fast-moving startup from 200K to 2M users. In my free time, I love writing Code That Is Poetry but day-to-day I am not an idealist engineer who doesn't compromise. Well-engineered code is clean and correct but correct above all else.

Oh, also, I'm great at writing documentation. I consider myself introverted but apparently my communication skills are above average for Software Engineers. I also pride myself on my humility and modesty.

I'm currently a backend engineer developing features and improving infra for an online game with millions of daily active users. I'd love to explore other technical positions in the games industry short of joining a AAA studio because (a) I don't want to crunch and (b) my skill set does not lay that way; other tech-creative industries would also appeal to me! Another particular interest is in B2C businesses where the 'C' is software developers. I'd love to chat and network about opportunities; if you think you have a product that could benefit from my skill set, drop me a line!

Location : NYC

Remote : In person preferred, but fine with remote!

Willing to relocate : No, but long commute is fine.

Technologies : Javascript, React, Python, Flask, Three.js

Resume : https://docs.google.com/document/d/1U--OxNDuwfyaMYV5BXM0Av7f...

Email : [email protected]

Summary : I'm a self taught/bootcamp trained developer who got into Three.js via my career in post production. I love 3D modeling and animation, but always wanted to make my models interactive. I love transit and urbanism, so I built a 3D NYC subway map and trip planner...

https://my3dtrains.com/

It's not quite formatted for mobile, and still has a few bugs (New year's resolution to fix them...), BUT, it works for most subway trips! It took forever to build since it was my first large project.

I'm also working on a particle based 3D music visualizer. Demo video available here...

https://vimeo.com/1147473608?fl=pl&fe=sh

Anyway, I hope my projects speak to my interest and ability in software engineering (specifically 3D applications, transit/urbanism/maps, and data vis). Hiring career switchers with no experience is not in vogue at the moment, but what I lack in experience I make up for in curiosity and creative thinking.

Hi I'm Thomas. I make teams easier, often creating fixes for customer/developer pain points (really good at this). Although I've not had the title of "Lead" to date, I've filled that role as advisor to peers, user story generator, and representative for requirement meetings with stakeholders. I'm ready to lead a gangbuster team!

I view the agreement between stakeholder and developer as one which can be a beautiful moment of pure communication, and that idea leads me to both develop to specifications and define requirements in user stories with precision.

A passion and thrill of mine is orchestrating/comprehending complex code bases and noting/implementing fixes and optimizations to them. I strive to develop around the highest impact areas so that the most taxing and critical functions can run without error. I also love maps, rockets, organizing data and BYU sports. GO Cougs!

I'm an independent consultant and frontend engineer helping startups (and a few large organizations) bring new products to market since 2012.

I can help you with:

- Building the first MVP of your product to put in front of investors and early adopters

- Overhauling existing products by adding major new features or paying off tech debt

- Helping your team get up to speed with emerging technologies

- Modernizing legacy products and migrating them off legacy tech stacks

- Acting as a bridge between your design and engineering teams

I'm primarily a frontend developer who is comfortable working with vanilla HTML/JS/CSS as well as more complex frameworks (mainly React). I enjoy being a heads-down technical contributor to codebases. However, working with early-stage companies has allowed me to dabble in UX design, hiring, mentoring, technical writing, technical workshops, and product design. I enjoy wearing a ton of hats, and prefer to work at orgs that allow me to use the full set of my abilities.

I enjoy using LLMs, but I do so responsibly. I write regularly at https://ankursethi.com/. I prefer short to medium term contracts (think 4-8 months).

Seattle-based full-stack engineer open to remote, hybrid, or in-office roles. Willing to relocate and actively interested in doing so.

My experience spans production full-stack web applications (Postgres, Express, React, Node), cloud infrastructure on AWS and GCP, browser automation using Selenium, and Windows desktop tooling with Tkinter and PyInstaller.

I’m currently operating as a consultant, working across technical implementation and customer-facing responsibilities, and I’m comfortable partnering closely with sales and non-technical stakeholders. Clients range from startups that nobody’s heard of to aerospace manufacturers that everybody’s heard of. I’m happy to sign NDA’s and bill against PO’s, but I would prefer a full-time W2 role. (https://cadocary.com)

Earlier in my career, I worked in electronics and hardware, including DO-160 compliant aircraft electronics testing, circuit design, and electrical bench tools. More recently it’s fullstack webapps and AI wrappers, including training and deploying own models, specifically supervised classification. My most recent W2 position was as a Patent Examiner in AI (Art Unit 2121) at the USPTO.

A defining part of my background is teaching computer science at Central Washington University. I taught nearly all core CS degree courses, authored four original courses that were added to the official catalog, and earned the highest student evaluation scores in the department across all quantitative metrics. I am transitioning out of my role of CTO and am exploring opportunities. I have 15 years of web experience building CMS and CRM for small and large companies.

As a co-founder (as well as my prior years), I wore many hats and spent countless hours as a result I can architect and design large codebases, hire and retain talent, lead and manage teams and set company-wide goals. I built and managed an engineering team located all around the globe and built a platform empowering small and medium businesses to run their operations; the company is entering a new phase of growth and it is the right time for me to find opportunities that aligns with my personal goals.

I am looking for a role at an established company. The bigger the problem, the more exciting. A perfect role for my profile may be one that blends my experience of building a successful B2B2C startup (building teams, product and software) and my experience of building B2B tools at a large company (Twitter).

If you need someone that can be an immediate value-add, bringing a ton of firepower, solving big problems and rallying teams to move mountains: hit me up!

I'm an ex-software engineer moved to Product Management looking for a new position, either as PM or anything hybrid bridging between tech and product. I have extensive experience in fintech / wealth-tech, but I'm also willing to discover a new domain.

I'm fast to adapt and great at federating people, most of my experience is in B2B where I learnt to thrive in complex environments with tight timelines and very demanding stakeholders, at my last company I was leading our flagship product where I helped secure multiple multi-million ARR contracts with big actors in the banking industry.

Code review, mentoring. Product work. Tech lead experience.

Resume: https://dmitry.cheryasov.info/resume/with-intro/

Email: in the resume.

Summary: I'm an experienced software engineer, looking for a hands-on senior software engineer / tech lead position, backend-leaning, with significant frontend skills. I worked at companies of all kinds, from seed-stage startups to literal FAANG. I always end up working in close interaction with product people, stakeholders, and (if lucky enough) prospective users. I'm used to working cross-functionally and cross-team, improving communication, coordinating work of several teams to build and operate the thing which the business needs. I prefer building the right thing without haste, but know how to prioritize shipping the most impactful changes sooner. I value autonomy and high impact. I built things from a nebulous idea to a final implementation and production launch. I evolved large existing systems, including frontend, backend, and databases. I'm glad to communicate with people, to mentor fellow engineers when appropriate, to coordinate work, but I'm not trying to become a full-time people manager. My north star is people like John Carmack or Rob Pike.

I have been programming since the age of 13 and graduated with an integrated master's degree in 2024, however since then I've been staying afloat on unstable work. My experience has been quite broad in that time but my recent focuses in my spare time have been Python/Flask, and C/C++ (for a homebrew project on an old console that I enjoy contributing to) but my initial experience was with Java; the first thing I wrote was a CraftBukkit plugin that ended up getting over a million downloads.

I'd consider myself very good at quickly familiarising myself with unfamiliar frameworks/languages, so even if it's something I'm not experienced in, I would be more than willing to do a take-home, or something similar (which I enjoy, esp. if it's something new to me).

Looking for and would be grateful for any opportunities, including non-SWE, e.g. I.T., or even something non-technical if your company is hiring for other roles.

I do not use LLMs for any work or projects of mine, or prose I've written (personal preference, not a moral viewpoint).

Résumé/CV: https://www.geary.com/resume.html or https://www.geary.com/resume.pdf and https://www.linkedin.com/in/michaelgeary/

Hi, I'm Michael Geary. I've programmed in many languages and environments over the years. Some of my current interests are:

• Developer experience. I love helping my fellow developers solve problems, and building tools to make their jobs easier and more enjoyable.

• Aviation and geographic data. For example, airspace and obstacle data importers for Wing; election results and voter information maps for Google; many interactive maps for other companies.

• Hardware interfacing. In a way, I am a "full stack" developer, but my stack may involve a front end to a piece of hardware rather than the cloud. I first got into programming via ham radio, so RF hardware remains an interest.

• Designing and building APIs. Too often an API is designed by exposing the internals of whatever system provides the API. My philosophy is the opposite: start with the apps. I like to build a series of sample apps before starting on the API. This way I can imagine what API will make those apps and others like them easy to build.

• Talk with users! I don't like to sit in a back room cranking out code. I want to make sure it's the right code for what my users need, and that it's easy to maintain and improve as we learn more about what they want.

Open to full time or contract.

I look forward to talking with you!
