alt Hacker NewsI think INI-style config is one of the few good things that came out of the Microsoft/Windows ecosystem. Shame that it is so underspecified. We have TOML, of course, but I think for stupid config even that is too much.
The intersection of INI and TOML would be perfect.

TOML was created purely because INI has no format spec at all. So what you want is just TOML.
If you don't like certain things, just don't use them in your configs (i.e. tables)
