I've had this same thought when I see all these vibe coded apps that look exactly the same

“ We encourage use of AI in software development workflows in the same way we encourage other tooling, but there's nobody now that we would hire because AI exists who we wouldn't have hired before and vice versa.” - Interesting opinion, runs counter to most other AI coders.

“If you want to get hired, work for us for free first”.

I get it’s hard to find signal when it comes to hiring, but feels bleak.

i haven't thought of vibeslop as being the next wordpress, but i think it's kinda apt especially since the vibe approach only really works for websites.

Clearly you should be able to come up with a better process than requesting free labor for an unspecified amount of time all for a job in the 75-150k range.

Glad to be doing my own thing for now and not have to deal with job search. Though who knows if the profession will even be around if I need to find a job.
