I don't claim to be a paragon of honesty or virtue, but through my experiences I've generally understood that lack of virtue can and does trap one in cycles of misery, anxiety & suffering.
I agree.
But there seem to be a bunch of people with sociopath tendencies, mostly in finance, tech & politics, which don't seem to be affected at all by this.
